PL8SCAN, Inc. has created this Privacy Policy to demonstrate our commitment to protecting your personal information and informing you about how we handle it. This Privacy Policy only applies to transactions and activities in which you engage, and data gathered by the PL8SCAN.com Service including data and messages sent and received on our Website and by text messaging but does not apply to any other website or offline point of contact between PL8SCAN, Inc., or any other company or consumers. Please review this Privacy Policy periodically as we may modify it from time to time.
Each time you visit the Website or provide us with information, by doing so you are accepting the practices described in this Privacy Policy at that time.
2. Your IP Address
Like most e-commerce websites, each time you visit the Website, we automatically collect your IP address and the web page from which you came. In order to administer and optimize the Website for you and to diagnose problems with our Website, we use your IP address to help identify you and to gather broad demographic information about you.
3. Cookies
Like most Websites, PL8SCAN.com uses cookies to keep track of your purchases and other activity on the Website and enhance your experience on the Website. We also use cookies to deliver content specific to your interests, to save your password, and if you choose, to save other personal, financial and demographic information so you do not have to reenter it each time you visit the Website. 4. Your Mobile Address Information
Like most services that provide text messaging, PL8SCAN™ records your mobile phone number and mobile phone carrier information whenever you send us a text message. We use this information to verify memberships, to ensure messages are sent to the correct mobile device and to enhance your text messaging experience. We do not sell or provide your mobile address information to third parties.
5. Information We Collect From You
In order to operate the Website and to provide you with information about products or services that may be of interest to you, we may collect "personal information" (i.e. information that could be used to contact you directly (without using the Website) such as full name, postal address, phone number, email address or mobile address), "financial information" (i.e. credit card numbers or passwords) or "demographic information" (i.e. information that you submit, or that we collect, that is neither personal information nor financial information; this may include, but is not limited to, zip code, postal code, hometown, gender, username, age/birth date, purchase history information, browsing history information, searching history information, registration history information, and Post, Scan and text message content).
6. Information Other Websites Collect From You
On the Website, we place links to other websites operated by other parties. Some of these other websites contain our brand names and trademarks and other intellectual property that we own; others do not. When you click on these links and visit these other websites, regardless of whether or not they contain our brand names, trademarks and other intellectual property, you need to be aware that we do not control these other websites or these other websites’ business practices, and that this Privacy Policy does not apply to these other websites. 7. How We Use Personal Information
We use your email address and mobile address and your other personal information to help us operate the Service, to mail you materials you have requested, to contact you in connection with your transactions and other activities on the Website (including, but not limited to, confirmation emails, email and text message notices of BuddyList activity or other important news or information that could affect your relationship with PL8SCAN, Inc. ) and to notify you of messages sent to you by other Users of the Website. In some cases these communications may contain commercial messages.
We also use your email address to send you email newsletters or other information and commercial offers. The Website provides you with the option to decline to receive these types of communications. To decline these types of communications go to the "My Account" page and select "My Profile". At the question that asks if it is OK for PL8SCAN™ to contact you periodically by email remove the checkmark and then click "Submit".

8. How We Use Financial Information
We use your financial information to check your qualifications, to bill you for products and services and to enable you to participate in discount, rebate and similar programs in which you may elect to participate. 9. Special Case In Which We Share Personal and Financial Information
Your personal or financial information may be passed on to a third party in the event of a transfer of ownership or assets, or a bankruptcy. We may also disclose personal or financial information when we determine that such disclosure is necessary to comply with applicable law or to protect the interest or safety of PL8SCAN™ or other visitors to the Site. We also may disclose your personal information or financial information to our subsidiary and parent companies and businesses, and other affiliated legal entities and businesses with whom we are under common corporate control. 10. How We Use Public Information and Other Demographic Information
We may review all demographic information. We may use demographic information to tailor the Website and communications to your interests. 11. Our Security Precautions
The Website has security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. Your information may be transferred to and maintained on computer networks which may be located outside of the state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction in which you reside, and the country or jurisdiction in which these computer networks are located may not have privacy laws as protective as the laws in your country or jurisdiction.
12. Changing Our Privacy Policy for Previously Gathered Information
If at any point we decide to use particular personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we will notify users by way of an email or by providing 30 days notice on the Website. Please note that we will continue to have the right to change our Privacy Policy and practices, and how we use your personally identifiable information, without notice, as described in this Privacy Policy, provided that such changes shall only apply to information gathered on or after the date of the change.
13. How You Can Change Your Email Preferences and Personal and Public Information
We give your the opportunity to opt out of certain communications and to modify personal information or demographic information you have provided to us, and to change the User Profile information visible to the public. To modify or delete any of this information go to the "My Account" page and select "My Profile". On that page you can modify or delete information and/or select which items from your profile are to be visible, or not, to the public. You can also opt out of periodic email communication from PL8SCAN™. When you have finished with your changes make sure you click the "Submit" button to activate the changes. These changes only affect future communications and information visible in your User Profile. Please note that these changes may take several hours to be reflected in our database. These changes will not change or delete existing Posts, Scans, replies, email messages or any information already provided to PL8SCAN™ or forwarded to third parties in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy.
